Tampa Bay sits beneath some of Florida's most complex low-altitude airspace. Tampa International Airport (TPA) imposes a Class B surface area that covers the city core and much of the bay, while St. Pete–Clearwater International (PIE) manages its own Class D zone extending across Pinellas County. MacDill Air Force Base, located on the southern tip of the Tampa peninsula, enforces a strict restricted airspace corridor with additional flight notice requirements for any commercial operations nearby.

As a licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot, Propelling Views is authorized to operate within LAANC (Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability) grids covering controlled airspace around TPA and PIE — often receiving near-instant authorization for altitudes up to the approved grid ceiling. For MacDill and other restricted zones, we coordinate directly with the relevant authority to obtain mission-specific clearances well before any flight takes place.

For shoots outside controlled airspace — including large portions of Sarasota County, Bradenton, Wesley Chapel, and Lakeland — flights operate under standard Part 107 rules with no prior authorization required, giving clients faster turnaround on bookings in those areas.

Every engagement includes a pre-flight airspace briefing so clients understand exactly what to expect on shoot day. We never launch without verifying NOTAM status, TFR clearance, and local ordinances — because protecting the client's project means protecting the legality of the footage.
